Shorty after 5 a.m. this morning our Beloved Marge Callahan passed away, very peacefully at the home of JoAnne O'Grady, her very dear friend for many years. She was so fortunate to have had the love and care of such a wonderful friend. The clogging world has lost a great treasure. The legacy Marge leaves behind reaches all corners of the clogging world and all ages of cloggers. Anyone who has ever met or taken classes from Marge has truly been touched by the best. So many of us have been so blessed to have been taken under her wing and been privileged to her guidance and expertise. She has watched so many young cloggers grow and become not only gifts to the clogging world but to society as well. They are giving back to all of us the talents that they have learned over the years and she was very proud of each and everyone. We have been so privileged to have known Marge. She is one who stands alone with the wonders of all who have been left behind and you can be sure there is a smile on her face and her feet are moving to every beat of the music. We should all rejoice in the knowledge that clogging and all who graced the dance floor with Marge, that we will forever be with her. Thank you to all of you for all the years that you have given to clogging and I hope that you will continue to do so for as long as you are able. "Clogging Does the Heart Good" - Ann Hubbard
Thanks also to Patsy White – she was there all day and all night helping Joanne with Marge. I think she should be acknowledged. While I was there she worked very hard. - Anita McClure |
